I've been reading as much as I can about Chile in the last few weeks and it sounds very nice. I think I could get a job there as a teacher because I do have some experience and degree(s) but I was wondering about another angle of creating revenue.
If Chile is so intent on getting into the mainstream of global business .... what possibility would there be for somebody who understands a lot about internet writing and marketing to earn some income by doing contract work (writing or English site set-up) with Chilean businesses who are going after an English speaking market?
I know in Korea here, the English on their websites of notoriously atrocious. They just don't seem to care and I haven't been able to network in that market because all my posts have been in smaller towns/areas.
But I was thinking that if Santiago is the capital and there's lots of international Chilean companies there, I might strife to build a clientele in the English directed internet area. I mean...I'm not expecting to make a killing right away but rather to just earn enough to get by, enjoy the culture and country and gradually build a clientele.
Opinions anyone?
